Jeremy Bulloch, the actor who first appeared bounty hunter Boba Fett in the first trilogy “Star Wars” (1977-1983), died on Thursday (December 17) at the age of 75.
The news was first confirmed by the Bulloch family on his private Facebook page, by Deadline, and on an Instagram public post by Daniel Logan – the now 33 – year – old actor who portrayed Fett in the prequel “Star Wars: Episode II: Attack of the Clones” (2002). Bulloch is said to have died of Parkinson’s disease complications.
Bulloch’s death comes just weeks later Temuera Morrison took over Fett in Disney Plus hit “The Mandalorian” (2019-present), which follows the bounty hunter known as the Mandalorian about five years after the events of “Return of the Jedi” (1983). In the season-end Season 2 “The Mandalorian”, which was released on Friday (December 18), Boba Fett’s new series was announced for Disney Plus in December 2021, according to The Verge.

But Bulloch’s remarkable performance as Fett still lingers with fans and remains an influence on the “Star Wars” franchise, especially sticking with the actors who worked with him throughout his long career. .
“RIP Legend,” Logan he said in a full-cap post on Instagram, adding that he won’t forget “everything you taught me” and that the routines wouldn’t equate to Bulloch’s absence. “The Force will always be with you,” said Logan.

Fett’s most memorable moment on screen was arguably the freezing of Han Solo, a “Star Wars” hero in carbonite in “The Empire Strikes Back” (1980). Bulloch wore Fett’s weapon in that film and in “Return of the Jedi” (1983) while Jason Wingreen provided Fett’s voice in both films.
Bulloch also appeared in other short “Star Wars” roles: a small role in the “Star Wars Holiday Special” (1978) with a wide lamp, as an Imperial Lieutenant Sheckil officer in “The Empire Strikes Back” (1983) and as Captain Colton in “Star Wars: Episode III: Revenge of the Sith” (2005), the date said.
Bulloch started work at the age of 12 and has 109 film credits to his name, according to Internet Film Database, between 1958 and 2016. In particular, he appeared in the spy franchise “James Bond” as a Q Smithers fourth-quarter supporter in “For Your Eyes Only” (1981) and in “Octopussy” (1983) . Bulloch appeared several times in the 1965-1974 television series “Doctor Who” as the characters of Hal and Tor.
He retired from “Star Wars” fan events in 2018, says in a short letter to fans that “it is with a heavy heart that I have decided to stop rituals and hang Fett ‘s helmet.”
