Magic Objects will help solve card grinding problem

Clash Royale turned five years old this month, and while it’s a trick that should be celebrated, age poses particular challenges for the developers at Supercell. Clash Royale is an online real-time strategy game that combines elements from tower defense, multiplayer online battle arena and collectible card games.

Cards are earned and updated by just playing the game. But there are a lot of them at this stage and it can be difficult to not only unlock all the cards but balance all of them as well.

First, unlock cards and level up quickly. However, as with all free-to-play games, this process usually slows down. It won’t grind to a halt in Clash Royale, but with all the cards in the collection, it could take a long time to find the exact ones you’re looking for to rank for the meta comps .

I’ve been playing Clash Royale off and on since its launch and I’m not even close to being at every top card level. The decks I use regularly are almost at a higher level but it took a lot of patience and frustration to get to this point. New entrants may not have the same patience.

It’s worth noting, that you can’t buy special cards to upgrade, but you can buy items that add to the speed at which you can upgrade. The point is, veterans and those who spend money are usually at a level advantage with cards. While it’s possible to climb the cup levels early, it’s inevitable that you’ll run into someone with more powerful cards, and it can be difficult if your skill is balanced by difference simple in card level. Competitions help balance this by capping the cards at a certain level, so that helps.

In any case, Supercell is helping to reduce the grind in Clash Royale by including Magic Things in the next update. Simply put, Magic Cards are used to help you update your cards faster. There are five types of magic items: Wild Cards, Book of Cards, Book of Books, chest keys and magic coins.

Wildcards lets you choose exactly which card you want to balance. Wildcards come in everything rare, with the rarest ones being the legendary wildcard. You can use a wildcard to help update any card in your collection that is so rare. For example, a Wild card can be used on Archers, Spear Goblins, the Knight, Minions, etc. Rare wild card can be used on the Mini PEKKA, Musketeer, Giant, Hog Rider, Valkyrie, you get the point. This is a great addition because you can focus on updating a particular card faster.

Of course the Book of Cards is just a collection of wild cards. It also comes in all sorts of rarity and adds 20 cards to such a rare special unit.

The Book of Books is “the best book ever.” It rates the progress of any card very rarely.

Keys Chest can open any chest contained in your chest slot, eliminating any waiting time. You may want to save these for Legendary Coffins or Coffins that require a longer opening time.

Finally, there is the Magic Coin. In addition to grinding for the individual cards, updating requires some gold. Naturally, the required gold raises the higher the level of the card. For me, this is one of the mechanics that slows down my progress because it may require a lot of gold to refresh in the later stages. The Magic Coin eliminates the cost of any upgrade. So instead of paying 100,000 Gold for a Level 13 upgrade, you can use the Magic Coin and pay nothing. Again, you may want to save this for the more expensive levels.

Pass Royale, Cup Road, Special Challenges and World Championships and the Shop have unveiled magic items. So there seems to be plenty of opportunity to earn those things and speed up your progress.
