In a recent interview with EW, Russell pointed out that the most important difference between Walker and Rogers was that the two were symbolic for different military eras. Russell also makes an important distinction between the lords of the two characters. While Rogers got into fights on the basis of doing the right thing, Walker explores a character who works in the “green fields” of war.

“What I thought was interesting about John was that Steve was a soldier from a different time. They’re both soldiers from different times, and John’s time is very different than time. Steve. The kind of armed men that go on Iraq and Afghanistan were different because the time was different, and the gray area now, you can see everything.Everything was filmed. There’s a very different approach now. You go in. Crush guns first and ask questions later. “

“John is the kind of person who looks like, ‘Look, do you want me to do the work? I’ll finish the work for you’. Sometimes that might mean wanting things in the gray areas where there aren’t. you are comfortable but me, and I must be able to do my job. “

It’s not just Marvel fans who see the stark difference between the two Captains America. In the latest program, Wilson and Barnes were both seen struggling to come to terms that their friend had been so easily replaced, especially considering the added disrespect that the government had to push the statement that Walker maintains the same importance as Rogers. They were not afraid to state their issues with Walker; several times during the program, the groups would raise heads. At first, it seemed like Walker was at least trying to keep the relationship civil. However, their last interaction in the program revealed that that is no longer the case, with Walker strongly telling Sam and Bucky that if they do not work with him, they must stay out of his way.

The Hawk and the Winter Soldier They have introduced a mix of antagonists for our titular heroes Sam and Bucky. Not only are they fighting a new threat called the Flag-Smashers, a group that believes the world was better off before the Blip turned, but now they have to work hard figure out how they should lead a world where they have to coexist with an imposter. Whether or not Walker turns out to be the hero he deserves to be, it will be very interesting to examine the ongoing tension he brings into the story and how it folds into the fight against the Flags.
