Director James Gunn shares why Task Force X member King Shark is not represented as Hammerhead in his upcoming film The Suicide Squad.
The Suicide Squad Director Jame Gunn revealed why he decided to abandon the traditional image of King Shark as a hammerhead shark for the upcoming DC film Extended Universe.
After The Suicide Squad skipped the expected trailer, Gunn considered the redesign of King Shark’s character – and his leadership reasons for it – with fans on Twitter.

“I experimented with the hammer head design, which I like and thought I would use first,” Gunn wrote. “But by looking at the far-sided sides he did horrible firing interactions with others, “he said. “You wouldn’t see him looking at the other person and the views tended to be too wide.”

Gunn’s ideas about King Shark’s design came after it was recently revealed that the character is being built by Sylvester Stallone.
After the King Shark redesign debuted, Gunn also responded to fans who suggested that King Shark would look weak in the trailer and could be killed. When one fan posted a screenshot of King Shark and wrote, “I swear, if [James Gunn] killing King Shark, I will never see his stuff again …, “replied Gunn,” It clings to a human skull. “
