Zooey Deschanel put down her signature bangs to show “doubts” that she has a face.
“For all the doubt …” the 41-year-old “New Girl” star posted a mirror selfie on Instagram on Friday.
The text also included: “Confirmation that I have a face.”
Deschanel also posted the image on her Instagram Story and said it reminded her of a popular meme she made compared to Clark Kent / Superman.
“Seeing Zooey Deschanel without bras and glasses, I finally get like nobody knew Clark Kent was Superman,” the meme read.

Deschanel ‘s post received attention from friends and fans, many of whom said they did not recognize the “500 Days of Summer” star in the picture. Others suggested that she edit the selfie so that it looked like she had no bras.
Even his girlfriend, “Property Brothers” star Jonathan Scott, joked: “Wait what ?! 😳.”
Deschanel’s post surprised fans as the actress has been stroking her hair with a bang for decades. Since becoming a star and supporting career in the early 2000s, Deschanel has played braces on and off screen.
And occasionally, she has actually removed her hair from her face to reveal her hand.

As a result of her hairstyle, she was compared to singer Katy Perry, who had dark hair and braids at an earlier stage of her music career. Perry told Deschanel on Instagram Live in December 2020 that she pretended to be a person to get into clubs when she first went to LA to make it big.
Both stars enjoyed fun when they were similar when Deschanel appeared in Perry’s 2020 music video for “Not the End of the World.” In the video, the monsters mock Deschanel for the “Roar” singer and banish her.
