There’s a bunch of new iPhone 13 rumors to filter through, covering the colors and design options that Apple may have in the pipeline, as well as a software-side update. The same batch of leaks also includes an update to the Apple AirTags.
The leaks come courtesy of Filip Koroy at EverythingApplePro and Max Weinbach, which are both known for having internal hard information more often. Perhaps the most interesting tidbit is a hint that Apple could be designing a matte black iPhone 13.
The new color is likely to be exclusive to the Pro models, and is said to be a rework of the traditional graphite shade. It matches the Apple patent we saw at the end of last year, noting that the company was working on a matte black finish for both the iPhone and the Apple Watch.
According to sources talking to EverythingApplePro and Weinbach, Apple is also working on a bronze or orange finish for the iPhone in the future – but the word is that this color choice is far more likely to produce a finished product than the matte black.
Returning for the mini?
Apple also seems to be working on a new cover for the stainless steel frame around the iPhone, to reduce the impact of smudges and fingerprints. On the software side, improvements to image mode (taking advantage of the LiDAR sensors in the Pro models) are said to be on the way.
Another nugget of information we got from the leaked fall: despite the slow sales of the iPhone 12 mini, the iPhone 13 mini is going to happen – and it’s going to come with a slightly larger battery charged also included.
Other revelations from this particular batch will indicate a better audio experience and a redesigned camera module – one that means less camera clutter for iPhone 13 models when they appear (September is the start month most likely).
Finally, the recommendations also revealed more details about the Apple AirTags: they are said to measure 32 mm x 32 mm x 6 mm (1.26 inches x 1.26 inches x 0.24 inches) and cost $ 39 each pop, with a release along with a new iPad Pros coming in soon.
