Le Cherry now streaming on Apple TV +, it’s finally time to share my spoiler-filled interview Joe and Anthony Russo about making their film based on 2018 Nico Walker a novel of the same name, with a script written by Angela Russo-Otsot and Jessica Goldberg. The film is described in six chapters and begins with Cherry (Tom Holland) meet the love of his life (Ciara Bravo) at college, and through a series of events he ends up in the Iraq War as a drug addict. Once home, he fights the demons of PTSD unknowingly and spins into drugs, which he takes to banks to fund his use. Cherry also stars Kelli Berglund, Thomas Lennon, Jack Reynor, Michael Gandolfini, and Jeff Wahlberg.
During the interview, they discussed the nonlinear structure at the beginning of the film, collaborating with a photography director Newton Thomas Sigel and as he was involved in some very cool photography, why did he 22 take away their long oner in the first act when Cherry and her friends were going to bank, why they broke the fourth wall, why they decided to make the camera look out of Cherry ‘s asshole and how the picture was the most debated thing in the whole movie, Henry Jackman’s theme for Cherry and Emily, and more.
