The Apple Watch has been very attractive, but Apple seems to want an even bigger market share: it is now looking at adopting the likes of Garmin and Casio with a rougher version of the wear.
According to sources speaking to Bloomberg, the Apple Watch is considered a rugged foot, with athletes, walkers and anyone hanging out in “real environments” on the target market.
This is an idea Apple seems to have previously thought of – Bloomberg says a “real sport” version of the smartwatch was measured back in 2015. If the new version gets the green light, you might see we will see it in 2021 or 2022.
The new model called ‘Explorer Edition’ is said to be inside Apple, though it’s not clear if that will continue to launch in full. Impact and additional impact protection are reported to be fundamental to the design, with rubber exterior references.

The standard Apple Watch is waterproof to 50 meters, but we assume that the Explorer Edition will go further in terms of the type of temperature and the beats it can survive, similar to something similar to the series Casio G-Shock.
We expect the Apple Watch 7 to be around the time of September, so if Apple is going to get an updated change out before the end of this year, that could be when it launches – although it won’t take long for Apple’s team to get it ready.
We know that Apple has been open to making various editions of its smartwatch in the past, with the affordable SE version arriving last year and special models being launched in partnership with Nike and Hermès in the past.
For now we can’t confirm whether those rumors are true or not, but Bloomberg sources say the rugged model of the Apple Watch could be canceled, deactivated, or allowed – as that ‘s not so sure to happen just yet.
