The Xiaomi MI 11 Ultra has been a bit of a hassle lately and we’re not surprised. Riding behind the success of last year’s Mi 10 Ultra, which was not even officially launched outside of China, the Mi 11 Ultra is expected to deliver world-class performance and features. And the cooling system seems to be one of them.
In a new Weibo post, the company’s co-founder offered a brief look at what the new cooling design is all about. Unfortunately, the Google translation is a bit rough around the edges but we got the chest off. It’s a bit like “full-fledged cooling tech” and the name seems to come from the three states of the case – solid, liquid and gas.
It is said to improve 100% thermal conductivity (that is not to say in comparison to what) by applying a VC settling plate (vacuum chamber settling plate). It was also used in the Mi 10 Ultra. But despite its flexible name, it has the same working principle as a conventional valve chamber – liquid heats, dissipates, turns into hot gas, then into the next chamber where it is cool down to a liquid again and repeat the cycle.
The solid state may be called the heating plates, or there may be something more to it. Fortunately, we won’t have to wait much longer before we learn more about the tech as the announcement date of Mi 11 Ultra is just two days from now.
