Sherlock Holmes found a very different retelling in Netflix drama The Irregulars, which focused on a group of street children hired to investigate matters for Dr. Watson only to enter a world of dark magic and the occult. hidden in London.
And now that season has finally been released, fans ’minds will naturally turn to the expectation of season two – but will there be more moments of the supernatural mystery show? And what would we expect from season two storytellers?
Read on to find out all we know about season two of the Irregulars.
Will there be season 2 of The Irregulars?
While there is no official word from Netflix on whether the series will return, creator Tom Bidwell and his team are sure to keep going.
“Season two, season three, we want to do it if we get the chance,” said Bidwell RadioTimes.com.
“There is almost too much story in season one! We definitely had to move some out of season one to sort of make it a place. So if we get permission to return, we will definitely hit the ground running. ”
“I would,” agreed Royce Pierreson, who plays Dr Watson. “I think it sets up perfectly. I mean, there are so many this season, Tom is getting so much into it.
“But I think that’s so we can go further. I love playing Watson. There is so much more I want to do with them. Yeah, sign me. ”

“I think the whole team, the team and the team and in the production office and everyone, we would all die coming back for season two,” said Thaddea Graham, who plays the main character Bea.
“We made a really small family on that show, and I’d love to work with them again, and I think the world that Tom created and set up is so much more study there. ”
Across across they will all get their wish.
Season 2 Irregulars release date

With season one just to be disqualified, it’s very likely that we’ll see season two for The Irregulars anytime soon, and the ongoing restrictions caused by the coronavirus pandemic is also a feature (in particular, the two-week weekend of filming on the season one of which was delayed by six months).
With this in mind, we would expect at least a year, perhaps longer, before any sign of season two.
Season 2 cast of Irregulars

The Irregulars season one team – that is Thaddea Graham, Darci Shaw, Jojo Macari, Mckell David, Harrison Osterfield and Royce Pierreson as Dr. Watson – is largely expected to return for season two.
It’s not so clear whether Sherlock Holmes will return from Henry Lloyd-Hughes, after (spoiler warning) last season one sent him to another size along with his partner Alice (Eileen O’Higgins). However, Lloyd-Hughes hopes it will be restored somehow.

“I don’t know how it will work,” he said RadioTimes.com. “But, you know, if you can unravel the mysteries of time and space, I will give it a glimpse. I can say. ”
It also looks like Clarke Peters’ spokesman The Linen Man will not return for season two after his death at the end of season one.
As for new characters, it’s unclear whether we’ll see new versions of classic Sherlock enemies – Dr. Moriarty, perhaps? – or an on-screen scene with Leopold’s mother, Queen Victoria, who is often mentioned in season one but never appears.
Irregulars season 2 story

If there’s a second season, creator Tom Bidwell certainly has plenty of ideas, noting that some of season one’s stories were held back for use at other times in the future. future.
“We have some ideas,” he said RadioTimes.com. “The thing with this show is that there is a lot of storytelling potential in a lot of different areas with Leopold, Sherlock and Watson with the group with their love stories.
He said: “There’s also a list of monsters that we’ve had ideas for years. it’s just an interesting series to write, it is, it was an honor to do it, it has been. ”
In particular, he believes that big stories with Leopold (actually Prince Leopold, the son of Queen Victoria) could play a big part in season two, while his own team wonders where the story could go.

“If we get the chance to make future seasons, the royal family and the highest echelons in society, you have a lot to play there,” Bidwell said.
“I think with this show there are so many unanswered questions, as well as so many opportunities,” said Darci Shaw, who plays Jessie in the series.
“I couldn’t even predict where Tom would take the next series, because that’s the kind of show where anything goes, and anything could happen. I think the opportunities are very exciting. ”
“I mean what happens inside the Rip, I don’t know – will we go in there, will we stay here?” Thaddea Graham is surprised. “What happens to Sherlock now? I think there is so much opportunity to explore more. ”
Clearly, the Irregulars have a few cases of cracking.
