Will there be season 2 of The Irregulars?
While there is no official word from Netflix on whether the series will return, creator Tom Bidwell and his team are sure to keep going.
“Season two, season three, we want to do it if we get the chance,” said Bidwell RadioTimes.com.
“There is almost too much story in season one! We definitely had to move some out of season one to sort of make it a place. So if we get permission to return, we will definitely hit the ground running. ”
“I would,” agreed Royce Pierreson, who plays Dr Watson. “I think it sets up perfectly. I mean, there are so many this season, Tom is getting so much into it.
“But I think that’s so we can go further. I love playing Watson. There is so much more I want to do with them. Yeah, sign me. ”

As for new characters, it’s unclear whether we’ll see new versions of classic Sherlock enemies – Dr. Moriarty, perhaps? – or an on-screen scene with Leopold’s mother, Queen Victoria, who is often mentioned in season one but never appears.

If there’s a second season, creator Tom Bidwell certainly has plenty of ideas, noting that some of season one’s stories were held back for use at other times in the future. future.

In particular, he believes that big stories with Leopold (actually Prince Leopold, the son of Queen Victoria) could play a big part in season two, while his own team wonders where the story could go.

“I think with this show there are so many unanswered questions, as well as so many opportunities,” said Darci Shaw, who plays Jessie in the series.
“I couldn’t even predict where Tom would take the next series, because that’s the kind of show where anything goes, and anything could happen. I think the opportunities are very exciting. ”
