Thailand wants the vaccinated tourists; Poland will allow Israelis to enter its territory

More countries crave vaccinated tourists: Thailand, one of the favorite destinations for Israeli tourists, has announced that from July 1, vaccinated tourists will be able to vacation on the island of Phuket.

The Thai government, which desperately wants to bring tourists back, will do so in a phased manner, starting on Phuket Island, before expanding to other islands such as Kosmoy.

The destination that Thailand has set for itself to open its gates to tourism is October 2021 and now the pilot that will take place on the island of Phuket will advance the destination by three months. To encourage tourists to come to the island, Phuket residents will be given priority in immunization. Before the plague – the millions of tourists who visited Thailand – donated about a fifth of Thailand’s economic power, Bloomberg reports.

Thailand concluded 2019 with 40 million tourists, a number that reflected an increase over the past few years. The state hopes to end 2021 with about 20 million tourists.

Warsaw is open to tourists from Israel

Poland also joins the list of countries that invite Israeli tourists to visit: The state has issued an order allowing Israelis to enter its territory, according to which Israelis who received the two vaccine doses or Israelis who present corona tests performed 48 hours before the flight, can enter Poland without isolation.

Along with Israel, Poland invites tourists from other countries where the morbidity is declining, such as Thailand, South Korea, New Zealand and Australia. Israelis will be allowed to enter Poland from March 26. It should be taken into account that the morbidity rate in Poland is on the rise – on 24.3 about 30,000 new diagnoses were registered – twice the number of diagnoses discovered the day before.

Greece has also announced entry permits for vaccinated Israeli tourists without isolation and airlines are responding accordingly: Low Cost Ryanair has announced the launch of three new destinations on its summer schedule from Tel Aviv – to Chania (Crete) with a frequency of 5 times a week, to Corfu and Rhodes with two flights Weekly. These lines will start operating in July.
