Xiaomi Mi Band’s fitness tracker line has been a huge success. Last year, it announced the Mi Band 5 in June in China before it was released worldwide in July as the Mi Smart Band 5. Less than a year later, a fan of the track and launch as the Mi Band 6.
The new fitness controller has been confirmed to launch on March 29, the same day that Xiaomi will announce the Mi 11 Pro phone, Mi 11 Ultra, and the new Mi MIX phone. The new fitness controller is expected to pack new features and updates but the design does not appear to have changed.
A live image that surfaced last week shows that the Mi Band 6 has the same design as its predecessor. The image also showed a magnetic shipping cable just like the Mi Band 5.
Abi Go, Xiaomi’s Head of Product Marketing and Global Speaker also shared a video looking at the release of the Mi Band 6.

One of the expected features of the Mi Band 6 is support for detecting blood oxygen level (SpO2 study). It came as a surprise when the Mi Band 5 was announced last year and this feature did not exist. It was also reported that it could have a larger display, up to 30 sports modes, and should be available in both standard and NFC versions.
The Mi Band 6 should launch outside of China as the Mi Smart Band 6.
