Crash Bandicoot 4: The PC version of About Time has just been launched through Battle.net and players are now learning about the constant online requirement.
Today, Activision launched Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s all about time air PC through Battle.net; unfortunately, players have found that a single – player internet title requires an internet connection. A series straight to the original Naughty Dog trilogy, Crash Bandicoot 4 store shelves hit last September for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The publisher released an update for the latest consoles earlier this month. Unsurprisingly, these versions do not always use online applications.
Video games that require users to maintain an active internet connection while playing are nothing new. In recent years, however, it has been the subject of strong controversy throughout the industry, especially when it comes to single-player experiences that do not have online components. Such DRM by publishers and developers is particularly common in the PC gaming space, due to ongoing concerns about piracy. As many would expect, Activision is no DRM alien, but the publisher is going to get a push back for the online requirements always in one marsupial adventure released from recently.

As indicated by DSOGaminghowever, the interesting release comes with an unfortunate caveat attached – even this single – player platform adventure requires players to maintain an internet connection at all times. There are no exceptions. So, if a PC user randomly loses their connection, the latest Crash Bandicoot an allowance is suddenly given without a play until the player resolves the issue.
Admittedly, this comes as no surprise, considering most of Activision ‘s recent Battle.net releases have requested a continuous internet connection. Fans were likely to make an exception Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s all about timehowever. After all, Diablo II: Resurrection It will be launched later this year with offline mode in tow.
Over the past few years, Activision has revived several of its classic titles. It basically started with 2017’s Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, then continues as Spyro the Dragon revived the stratosphere with the 2018 launch of Trilogy Spyro Reignited. Pro Skater 1 + 2 by Tony Hawk the classic skating franchise returned last year, and now Diablo fans have a remaster to look forward to later in the year.
