Partner sums up 2020 in profit and increase in the number of TV subscribers

Partner published today (Thursday, 25.3) the summary of its financial results for 2020, in which the company showed a slight decrease in revenues and net profit, but showed an increase in operating profit and continued growth in the number of TV subscribers as part of the Partner TV service and the number of cellular subscribers. Meanwhile, Partner updated that as of the date of publication of the financial statements, the number of its optical fiber network subscribers to the home Internet reaches more than 150,000 households, while at the end of the year the fiber network deployment reached 465,000 households.

Partner ended 2020 with revenues of NIS 3.189 billion, a slight decrease of 1.4% compared to 2019 data, with operating profit amounting to NIS 96 million (compared to 87 million in 2019) and net profit of NIS 17 million. (Vs. 19 million in 2019). The free cash flow was minus NIS 3 million at the end of the fourth quarter of 2020, down from NIS 21 million in the third quarter of the same, which is explained by the company mainly as a result of changes in operating assets and liabilities.

The total number of cellular subscribers at the end of the fourth quarter of 2020 was about 2.836 billion, of which Partner notes an increase of 58,000 “Postpaid” subscribers and an increase of 16,000 “Prepaid” subscribers. The company notes that the average monthly income from cellular subscribers (ARPU) fell to NIS 49 in the quarter that signed 2020, compared to a figure of NIS 51 in the third quarter of that year, when the rate of abandonment of cellular subscribers was 7.2%.

The number of subscribers to the TV service Partner TV grew by about 8,000 between the end of the third and fourth quarters of 2020, and amounted to 232,000 subscribers at the end of last year. At an annual glance, this is a growth of about 44,000 subscribers, with the company noting that as of the date of publication of the financial statements (end of March 2021), the company’s subscription base stands at 234,000, a growth of only about 2,000 subscribers compared to the end of 2020.
