Only 5,000 fans will enter the pitches

There is a summary – the amount has increased, but at the same time still not enough: The Ministry of Health today (Tuesday) approved the entry of 5,000 fans to the big courts in the second round, after discussions between the Ministry of Sports and the Ministry of Health. Corona projector Prof. Nachman Ash and Chief of Staff of Sports Minister Hili Trooper, Guy Gutman, participated in the discussions. It should be noted that the decision has yet to receive the approval of the government, which is expected to convene in the coming days.

The Ministry of Health was unwilling to hear about 10,000 fans entering the big stadiums, about a third of the capacity, and demanded to continue with a layout of 1,500, but a compromise was finally reached to bring 5,000 fans to the pitches. The football administration finds it difficult to understand these illogical decisions, as a maximum of only 5,000 fans will enter stadiums of 30,000 seats.

In any case, the administration demands that the decision be expressed as early as this weekend so that at least the Tel Aviv derby will have 5,000 fans and not 1,500. The cabinet meeting will be held only on Thursday and may only make a decision at the weekend so of course there will be no time left for groups to prepare depending on the introduction of a larger amount, nor can they take a risk of wide ticket sales in case the decision is not approved by the weekend. In light of this, the administration hopes that the government will convene tomorrow, and not on Thursday. The principal will inform the groups tomorrow whether the increase in quantity will take place already at the weekend, so that they can prepare accordingly.

This is good news, but the work is not over yet. We wanted to bring in more audience and we will not rest until we bring back the entire audience. To my delight, the most open areas with the largest number of spectators and fans continue to be the cultural and sports areas. We will convene meetings with professionals in the Ministry of Health after the start of the aforementioned beat, so that we can further increase the audience entry in the following beats. I call on the entire audience to continue to adhere to health guidelines and save their lives. “
