Israel has exceeded the 6,000 criterion for coronavirus deaths, according to the health ministry’s official account, because despite the sense of atmosphere across the country, we are still in revolt.
By permission, it is affected and in fact thanks to the vaccines, but it is still here, thus revealing all the failures in the last two governments.

Even before we describe these failures, let ‘s take a moment to praise what is being done better in Israel than anywhere else: a set of robust tests that saved many lives and big money for the world. economy and the distribution of vaccines that did that Israel is the largest country in the world.
Both of these things saved Israel from far greater tragedy. The credit for them goes to the excellent health care system, incredible capacity for improvise and of course to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who recognized the threat of coronavirus long before other leaders.
Netanyahu deserves credit for his successes, but as leader of the last two governments he is also responsible for the last failures and death toll.
The fact that a very young country, the youngest in the industrial west, with a unique health care system and emergency preparedness has gone out of its way has led to far too many mortality.
Yes, Israel is a densely populated country with poor numbers, but it has taken major steps to contain the plague, including reducing the number of school days to one of the lowest in the world.
But in terms of mortality per million, the Israeli situation is not at all successful. It is not as bad as Britain or the Czech Republic, for example, but it is not as jealous as Denmark.
Ultimately, A. was the one who put together a Mossad plan and a defense center to deal with the virus as early as March last year. And it was the prime minister who shelved the plan as soon as it was given to him. The first point was particularly troubling – hiring a czar manager to handle the coronavirus response.
“I’m handling it,” Netanyahu told Mossad Director Yossi Cohen. It would take months for the Prime Minister to wake up to the obvious need for someone to govern one of the most difficult challenges Israel has ever faced.
And this was just the beginning. The failure of both governments was multifaceted, but unprofessionalism, politics and discontent were the line through for both.
It was this confidence that prompted Netanyahu to offer the public to go “for fun,” and allow his government to open the halls of the center without supervision.
It was this protest that led cabinet members to the coronavirus to promise that Israel would have to fight the second wave without closure and that it would be the “first country in the world” to emerge from the disease. released without other locks.

Protest and republicanism went into the media, constantly overwhelming the public with controversial messages from experts who turned out to be experts: they told the public that the uprising was that the virus had “run out of smoke”, that it was “just the flu”, or that the country had already achieved herd protection (months before to give Netanyahu the first vaccine in the country).
These confused and erroneous messages created incredible mistrust among the people of Israel.
Companionship was accompanied by a lack of professionalism. When the economy closed, the education system did not prepare for a gradual or full return to school, and the arguments and controversies over budgeting, capsules and tests usually lasted until the moment the school opened. classes – and after.
Lack of professionalism also led to complete blindness regarding Ben-Gurion Airport, one of the main failings of Netanyahu’s current government. Israel has become one of the most contagious places in the world for the British variant – an infectious and perhaps even more deadly strain of the virus.
Although the Israelis were asked to show a negative test to get into Rwanda and the Seychelles, they and foreigners were able to enter Israel without any tests at all.
And of course, there was the politics. The right and effective thing to do was to make an earlier and clearer distinction between areas with high and low disease rates, and not just for the education system. But such measures would have been toxic to Netanyahu’s relationship with his ultra-Orthodox political partners, so they were quickly rejected.
In fact, politics was the most awful tape of all. Netanyahu never stopped using press conferences at the start of official events to spread his party’s messages. Moreover, about half of the population had little confidence in the prime minister who was originally accused of a crime.

Benny Gantz and Benjamin Netanyahu sign coalition agreement after March 2020 elections
Blue & White, led by Benny Gantz, said it was teaming up with a “coronavirus emergency government” to solve these real failures.
But the party did not show an ordered worldview, did not claim any responsibilities regarding the pandemic during coalition talks, did not take the health package, and just last month. they began to argue with Netanyahu about his approach, usually accepting just a simple “open it completely” agenda.
Senior officials who witnessed the pandemic talks with Netanyahu describe an unusually sharp and informative individual, who better understood than others the dangers of the virus and the need for vaccines – and went out to achieve its goals.
They also refer to Netanyahu as responsible for the negligent handling of the revolution and as obsessively political. This led to disproportionate management which prevented effective collaboration.
The disease is spread, we all hope, at the time of his death.
But whether the government is also effectively preparing for less progressive developments such as a revolution or a new snort, don’t take your breath away.
