The Ministry of Education’s announcement that a final decision has not yet been made on awarding the Israel Prize in the field of mathematics and computer science research tried to ignore what happened in closed rooms and the committee’s decision to award the prize to Prof. Goldreich. Of News 12.
Prior to the storm, the committee decided to award the prize to Goldrain for his research work on computational complexity. It should be noted that the High Court has previously ruled that the Minister of Education has no authority to interfere in awarding the prize, or to link such statements to the award.
