Hapoel Holon players celebrate (Hagai Michaeli)
Hapoel Holon officially announced this morning (Monday) the signing of forward / center Knight Sastina, who will sign a contract until the end of the season with an option to extend for another season. Sastina (23, 2.06 m) will not play in the FIBA Champions League, but will be available in the Winner League and the Balkan League.
Sastina has played for Buckenell and Kentucky in the College League. This season he played for Long Island Nets, the Brooklyn Nets G-League team from the NBA, in which he scored 7.7 points with 2.7 rebounds per game. Last October he signed a contract with Nizhny Novgorod, but ended up not playing for it. The chin threw 5 threes per game in the Development League.
The team coach, Stefanos Dadas: “Knight is an actor I’ve been following since the summer, one who comes from a great college. I was hesitant to build on him as a rookie so I decided to follow him in the G League. As a great man with an outside shot and a team player he definitely fits my rotation. “His human quality will give us a big plus and support for the great chemistry we have in the team.”
