“Reports of improvement in the condition of recovering people with persistent symptoms – after being vaccinated”

The IDF Intelligence and Information Center (ISF) announced this morning (Sunday) that 773 new verified Corona viruses have been diagnosed in the past day. This is out of 26,375 tests performed yesterday, whose positive rate is 2.9%.

It was further reported that 633 patients are hospitalized in critical condition, out of 32,026 active patients, and that the death toll stands at 5,981, after 12 patients died as a result of the virus on Friday.

The report shows that the vaccination campaign seems to be showing its signs. The number of verified and the number of patients in critical condition is steadily declining, but the incidence of morbidity is still relatively high. Patients are in a relatively high severity (about 650 on average weekly), but continue to decline gradually.Despite the positive developments, continued relief may lead to a re-increase in morbidity, especially in those who have not yet been vaccinated.

The data also show that the vaccines are effective, especially for recoverers – recoverers are at risk of re-infection from the South African strain found in Israel and possibly similar strains, such as the Brazilian strain. Therefore, it is recommended that recoverers get vaccinated as soon as possible. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control has declared that there are no known safety risks in the vaccine and from a series of studies it appears that one vaccine cream greatly improves the protection of recoveries from existing variants. Preliminary reports indicate that recoverers who suffer from persistent symptoms even after their recovery, indicate a marked improvement in their condition after receiving a vaccine dose.
