The end is near. Only days stay indoors Fortnite’s fifth season of Chapter 2.
It’s time to fold in a final batch of double-XP challenges, find the last week’s worth of XP coins, and pass Season 5 Battle Pass. Completing this week’s Legendary Quest should help with that as well.
So when does Season 5 end and Season 6 begins?
Monday 15th March is your last day to complete challenges and get Baby Yoda Back Bling. The single-player adventure that begins Season 6 kicks off on Tuesday, March 16 when the season begins (when the time is over, usually in the wee hours of the morning).
Epic has released the first teaser for Season 6, featuring Jonesy seven bittersweet about the Order and the end of the truth:
This could include a few clues about the topic of next season, which could include a sports or football / soccer turn.
Downtime usually starts in the wee hours, so I would expect Season 5 to end in the middle of the night either late Monday 15th or very early on Tuesday morning the 16th. I will update this post once Epic announces the specific time. An unusual time usually lasts two or four hours, so I expect players to be able to log in long before breakfast depending on your time range.
Epic will never tell us how long a downtime lasts, but I would lead closer to four hours with a major seasonal update like this. Then, of course, you need to download and install it which depends on internet speed.
I still don’t know what Season 6 will look like, although I’m excited to change and hopefully see some major changes to the map anyway, which still feels like map smaller than the original.
What do you think will happen at the end of Season 5? Any measurements for Season 6?
