After it was announced earlier today that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will take off tomorrow for a quick visit to the United Arab Emirates, tonight (Wednesday) it was reported here 11 that there are advanced contacts for Netanyahu to hold a meeting with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman during the visit.
As stated, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will fly tomorrow for his first visit to the United Arab Emirates, according to senior Arab officials quoted on the Walla !. As you may recall, this is the same historic visit that has been postponed several times before, despite the importance of the trip.
The last postponement of the visit was made in February, as it was decided to close the sky. During this visit, Netanyahu was to take part in a series of meetings of an economic nature as well as meet with the regent, Muhammad bin Zayed.
Netanyahu secretly visited Saudi Arabia in November and was scheduled to meet with Regent Muhammad bin Salman, according to reports in Israel and around the world. The meeting was held in the Red Sea city of Niem. The meeting was also attended by Mossad chief Yossi Cohen and was held while US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo was also present. The Prime Minister’s Office does not comment on the reports. According to a report by Barak Ravid in the Walla, Netanyahu did not update Defense Minister Bnei Gantz and Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi on the trip in question.
