He wanted to make a spaghetti bolognese for his wife Alana Lister on Married At First Sight on Tuesday, to show her his ‘softer side’.
But viewers were left baffled by Jason Engler ‘s desperate attempt to cook the amazingly basic dish, which he discovered within minutes.
‘I don’t cook, I usually microwave,’ the 35-year-old warned viewers, before stumbling around for ingredients.

He first tried to cut onions with the skin still browned, before slipping into a jar of sauce with the minced meat and raw mushrooms.
‘Hmmm’, the construction surveyor in credit, said as he dragged the flat ingredients in the pan with a spatula.
He then looked pale as he tossed a whole pack of spaghetti into a pan, filling the time until it was stuck to the bottom.
