ABC Home for the Elderly for 4 year olds returns to screens for season two

The ABC award-winning reality show, Old People’s Home for 4 Year Olds, returns for a second season.

The healthy and ‘life-changing’ social test, reported by Annabel Crabb, will first appear on ABC TV and iview on April 6 at 8.30pm.

The AACTA award – winning program sees older people spending time with preschool children as experts monitoring what they are learning from each other.

The different generational groups take part in joint activities, with the aim of determining whether the health and happiness of older adults can improve.

But unlike the first season, the elderly are now living in their own homes instead of a retirement home.

A trailer for the new season shows the wonderful children and seniors playing games, dressing up and talking to each other.

An older gentleman tells your rep: ‘I have no idea how to handle a four-year-old.’

One of the experts says: ‘We can’t turn old age back, but we can turn back from weakness. ‘

Another expert says that they did not give antidepressants to the older participants but instead raised their spirits through ‘interacting with children’.

‘Staying mentally active can improve brain activity,’ they say.

In the exhibition, which is based on a British version of the same name, the participants develop relationships with each other and with their families.
