The American Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced today (Monday) that Americans who have received the two vaccine doses to Corona will be able to spend time with their vaccinated acquaintances as well, without a mask and without adhering to the rules of social distance. Moreover, vaccinated grandparents will be able to socialize with their family members and not even keep their distance from them, even if they have not been vaccinated, as long as they are not in a risk group.
According to the American Center, after two weeks of receiving the second vaccine dose from the Modern or Pfizer companies, or one vaccine dose from Johnson & Johnson, it is possible to stay with friends or family members, if they are also vaccinated without adherence to masks or social distance. In addition, it is possible to stay among those who have not been vaccinated, if they are not in the risk group and the chances of contracting the corona virus severely are low.
Corona in the United States
The head of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Rochelle Wolensky, said: “If you want to dine with your friends or family, and the parties are vaccinated – you can do it,” the head of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Rochelle Wolensky, announced during a briefing at the White House.
In a group where vaccinated people are present but also those who are not, Rochelle explained that this poses a low risk for those who have been vaccinated, if those who have not been vaccinated are not in a risk group, or another member of their household. “If grandparents have been vaccinated, they will be able to visit their family members, even if they have not been vaccinated, as long as the family members are not at risk,” Rochelle added.
According to the new guidelines, People who have been vaccinated no longer need isolation, or even corona tests, even if they have come in contact with a verified patient.. However, in the public space the general population must wear a mask and maintain social distance and the guideline is still not to hold multi-participant frontal meetings.
“We know people want to get vaccinated in order to get back to routine,” Wolensky said. “There are some activities that people who have received the vaccine doses will be able to go back to doing. However, everyone, including those who have been vaccinated, still need to adhere to the guidelines in the public space.”
Later, Wolanski was asked during the briefing whether it would be possible to leave the country, and she replied that the data still indicated that there was a connection between crossings between countries and a jump in morbidity. “We know that whenever there is a jump in travel and crossings, there is an increase in morbidity. Many of the variants identified came as a result of crossings out of the country,” she stressed.
Government officials working to reduce morbidity have explained that they want to provide optimism to exhausted citizens, after a year of restrictions. However, the number of diagnoses is still high in the United States, and therefore they allow for some relief, but with the utmost care.
“We believe the new recommendations are important in the effort to get back to routine. However, more than 90% of the population has not been completely vaccinated, but we are working on that,” Wolensky explained.
