James Young, Returning to Israel (Omri Stein)
On the morning after the painful loss last night (Sunday) 80:77 to Maccabi Tel Aviv in the derby, after already leading by 16 points, Hapoel Tel Aviv announced the signing of the guard, James Young (25, 1.98) who will strengthen its back line until the end of the season .
Young, a Kentucky College graduate who was selected 17th in the 2014 draft, played 108 NBA games in the Boston and Philadelphia uniforms, and in recent years has worn the uniforms of the Milwaukee and New York Knicks G-League teams.
Last season, Young recorded 19 games for Maccabi Haifa, averaged 20.5 points per game, with 41% off the arc, and added more than five rebounds. The American, who has played in the development league bubble in Orlando in the Westchester Knicks uniform in recent weeks, is expected to land in Israel in the coming days and will join his new friends in red, after completing the isolation period.
