The developer of computer kits for managing vehicle fleets and field workers, announced that it has received a serial order of about NIS 3 million from a company in North America that provides telematics services for managing vehicle fleets. As part of this, the company purchased a supply of approximately 2,000 units of Micronet’s SmartCam intermediate camera – the expected delivery date is during the second quarter of 2021.
This is a connected car camera with advanced telematics capabilities, the camera connects to the cellular network (fourth generation) designed to increase passenger safety. The camera has road monitoring capability and driver behavior, alerting to driving safety incidents, real-time driver instruction and more.
The current order follows another serial order that occurred at the end of January from a telecom services provider in North America for a total of NIS 5 million, after reporting at the end of December 2020 a first order from the same customer for NIS 1 million.
