The third round of relief takes effect

Following government approval of the new, less severe coronavirus restrictions on Saturday, a third round of relief came into effect Sunday.

Under the new restrictions, students at grades 7-10 will return to school in green and yellow areas. Students who are fully inoculated and hold a Green Pass can return to universities and colleges even though they are subject to certain conditions.

In restaurants, in-business seating is only allowed for Green Pass holders, up to 75% of the restaurant’s top customers, and no more than a hundred people. Outdoor seating will also be limited to up to one hundred people, even for those without a Green Pass. Bars are only accessible to Green Pass customers. Social distance will still be required while inside the industry.

Event venues and event halls will be able to host only Green Pass holders, and no more than 50% of the maximum number of customers, and the maximum number of participants must not be more than 300 people. A cultural and sporting event can accommodate up to 500 people in an enclosed building, and up to 750 people in an open space.

In a hall or stadium with more than 10,000 seats, 1,000 people will be allowed in a closed building and up to 1,500 in an open space.
