There are quite a few players who will be remembered for generations thanks to the fact that they only played in one team. Legends like Paolo Maldini, Carles Puyol and Francesco Totti are of course at the top of the list, but the Transfermarkt have examined which of the active players is closest to the historic top, and those who share the summit are Leo Messi from Barcelona and Marc Noble from West Ham.
Flea has been playing for Barcelona since 2004, for about 17 years, just like the never-ending hammer player known as “Mr Westham”, and may soon be the lone player at the top, depending on the Englishman’s fitness and the Flea’s desire to continue at Barça. Third place went to Sergio Alvarez, the goalkeeper of Salta Vigo who has also been in his team since 2004, about 16 years and seven months.
