Out of three will a savior come out? On Barcelona presidential candidates

Beginning of an article

In three days Barcelona may emerge for a better future, after six and a half difficult years under the tenure of Josep Maria Bartomeu. Before the Catalans’ new president is announced on Sunday night, we have prepared for you an introduction to the three finalists for the position – Joan Laporta, Victor Pont and Tony Freisha. Of course the main issue the three of them will have to deal with is around the future of Lionel Messi. All the details are in front of you:

Joan Laporta
Even before Blaugrana fans flock to the polls one can clearly understand the mood according to the polls results with Laporta standing above everyone in the gap. As you may recall, the 58-year-old lawyer is the only one of the three who has performed the role in the past (2003-2010), and he has done so with great success.

Through brilliant signings like Ronaldinho and Samuel Eto’o, alongside cultivating ‘La Masia’, Laporta has brought Barcelona back to the top of world football after less good years to say the least, and fans have not forgotten that. Now that the club is in a serious financial crisis, Laporta will try to revive his beloved team again and his ambition can be seen through the platform.

Artificial intelligence will play a very important role in his project, and in addition Laporta is interested in reorganizing the young departments in order to build the future of Barcelona. Above all the senior candidate has placed identity restoration as his milestone after this aspect has been somewhat forgotten in recent years. In Laporta’s way the road to victory is no less important than the end result.

Victor Font
In second place in the polls was Pont, a 48-year-old charismatic businessman who is considered the most modern candidate of all. Pont has already built an orderly plan to get the club out of the economic pit, and he intends to establish it through the sale of merchandise and investment in e-sports among other things.

Of course all the candidates are hoping that Leo Messi will extend his contract but Pont is sure he will be able to convince the flea. Beyond that, he confirmed that this is one of the first things he will do upon taking office. Pont also noted that if things continue like this Ronald Koeman will remain as the team’s coach, however Xavi remains for him as the perfect man to stand on the lines. Pont believes the club legend, who does wonderful things in al-Sad, will convince Messi to stay due to their special relationship and his successes in the Qatari league.

Tony Freisha
Behind everyone in the polls is Freisha, 52, who previously served as Laporta’s vice president. It should be noted that the fact that Freisha is following in the footsteps of Sandro Rossi and Bartholomew makes him a less credible man in the eyes of many fans.

Like Laporta Freisha there is also a big under when it comes to promoting the young players within the club, and he has made it clear that he will make every effort to bring ‘La Masia’ back to the top of world football. Also, Freisha wants to bring back the identity that has disappeared in recent years through changed aspects, as well as the form of play that has characterized the Blaugrana in the past.
