A great achievement for the Israeli swimmer Tomer Frenkel, who tonight (Thursday-Friday) won the gold medal at the prestigious Big 10 conference championship for colleges in the United States. Butterfly with a result of 44.91 seconds, the fifth best time of the season in the entire USA.
To complete his great evening, a few minutes after the 100 butterfly, the swimmer from Jerusalem jumped into the water for the 200-yard freestyle, where he won a bronze medal, setting a time of 1: 33.27. The winner of the ointment is Olympic champion Simon Manuel, with 54.62, ahead of Avi Weitzil (54.68) and Katie Ladki (54.78, won later tonight in the 400 freestyle with 4: 05.00).
