Marco Belbul (Omri Stein)
The professional team that will lead the Israeli team in the 2022 World Cup qualifying campaign has been completed. Willy Rotensteiner as head coach will be joined by Marco Belbul and Rupert Marco as assistant coaches. The other team members are: Klaus Lindenberg (goalkeeping coach), Eran Sado (fitness coach), Liron Glatt (analyst), Roni Gottlieb (sports science), Roger Spray (physiology). The medical staff will continue to be led by Dr. Udi Kaufman. The director of the team is the head of the association’s team, Guy Portniagin.

I am convinced that the combination of the old members of the team and the new ones will prove itself and the Israeli team will continue to progress and enjoy professional patterns at the highest level. The members of the search committee decided to recommend to the management of the Football Association the appointment of Alon Hazan as the coach of the young team and I want to thank him already for his contribution over the years to the senior team and for being a wonderful team member.

The addition of Marco Belbul, with whom I worked when he coached the young team in Israel and abroad. “Significant strength. Marco is confused: “I consider joining the senior team a great privilege and a key part in the continuation of my professional development. I worked with Rotensteiner for a long time, we had hundreds of hours of conversations about football and the ways in which our teams and players can be promoted. “And above all for the benefit of our football. I wore the national uniform for many years, and it will still be especially exciting from the first training session with the senior team.”
Alon Hazan: “I thank the members of the search committee for the decision to recommend me as the coach of the young team. I am happy to accept this important position, it is a great pride for me as someone who started his work in the second youth team. The right to represent our football and the State of Israel is never taken for granted. “Not as a player, not as a coach. We have a difficult task in the young team, but I have very talented players. I thank you for the time in the senior team, for the knowledge I gained and for working with leading professionals and rare players in their professional and personal qualities. I am important to thank Andy Herzog “He chose me as his assistant coach and of course Willie Rotensteiner, I learned a lot from them.
