Aside from Washington’s loss, there weren’t too many games tonight (Tuesday-Wednesday), but we still got some particularly interesting ones. Boston has been looking lately like the team they were expected to look like, Miami got a painful blow after a winning streak, Nikola Jokic plays like an MVP, and what about Phoenix?
Milwaukee (14:21) – Denver (15:20) 128: 97 LA Lakers (12:24) – Phoenix (11:23) 114: 104 Boston (17:18) – LA Clippers (13:24 ) 112: 117 Miami (18:17) – Atlanta (20:15) 94:80 San Antonio (13:18) – New York (18:18) 93: 119
He’s not muscular, he’s not very fast or athletic, but he’s one of the best players in the NBA. Another purposeful display by Jukic set Denver up for an impressive away win over one of the championship nominees, Yannis Endokombo’s Milwaukee.

The Serbian chin provided a triple-double of 37 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists, all on 15 of 23 excellent from the field, and the Nuggets dismantled the stunned Bucks, who came into this game with tremendous momentum. It was the 50th triple-double in Yukic’s career after missing a lone assist yesterday to reach that milestone.
Already in the first quarter we saw where this game was going with a one-sided 23:37, when the display of shots continued from the direction of the guest. Denver did not give its opponent easy points and sent it to the line quite a bit (31 times to be exact, of which Milwaukee was 22nd).

Yannis finished with his near-normal numbers, 27 points and eight rebounds, with Chris Middleton adding 20 points, but the rest of the teammates were out of business and just couldn’t find the ring. For the visitors it was the other way around, except for Jokic, all five players scored in double digits, Jamal Marie contributed 24 points and 6 assists.
Phoenix does not stop and tonight the champion also won, which is despite the fact that Devin Booker, its big star, was sent off with a particularly strange decision, at the start of the last quarter. Until that moment in the morning he provided 17 points and 6 assists in good percentages, but the referee decided to register him a second technical foul, when the guard in total bounced the ball after a foul was blown for his duty.

Even without him the guest got along very well and veteran Chris Paul managed the game excellently. Although he scored only eight points, his ten assists (compared to just one loss) found the teammates available for easy baskets. Dario Sharich finished as the leading scorer with 21 points off the bench, with Michal Bridges continuing his progress and contributing 19 points, alongside 6 rebounds and 5 assists.
It was Phoenix’s third straight win, overtaking the Lakers in the Western Conference standings and rising to second place. No less amazing. LeBron James had to make do this time without the injured Anthony Davis, and was very good (38 points), but his teammates did not deliver the goods.

Dennis Schroeder did score 17 points, but in 6 of 17 bad from the field, Tyler Horton-Tucker added 16 points from the bench.
Kamba Walker finally looks like Kamba Walker. The excellent guard, who has experienced, relatively speaking at least, a fallen season, is coming back to himself recently and tonight he led the Celtics to a prestigious victory over the powerful Clippers.

Walker finished with 25 points and six assists, and received help from Jaylen Brown (18 points) to keep the win with them. It was the third win in a row, and it came after an unflattering balance of nine losses in 14 games, not numbers of a team that fantasizes about reaching the playoff finals.
The guest came up without Kwai Leonard, who before the game was found unfit, and hoped that Paul George would be able to arrange the victory for her. The forward took full responsibility, but the shots didn’t really get into him. Although he finished with 32 points, he also scored only 5 of 15 from outside the arc. Reggie Jackson’s 25 points were not enough either.
Just two days ago Atlanta fired her coach and appointed Nate McMillan to the position. McMillan is considered an excellent defensive coach, but not at all sure that Miami’s ability tonight is only related to him. The runner-up was very weak, scoring only 37 percent from the field and 27 percent from outside the arc, and even though she led after three quarters, disappeared completely and let the guest celebrate at the end.
The Hawks’ top five players scored in double digits, with Trey Young scoring a double-double of 18 points and 10 assists. Clint Capella added 10 points and 17 rebounds. It’s hard to name anyone in favor of the hit, who played without Jimmy Butler, but if you still want to then Duncan Robinson and Goran Dragic finished with 14 points each.
