The CEO of the Assuta private hospital chain, CPA Pinchas Tzruya, was unexpectedly fired last week. During a board meeting held last week in Assuta, Tzruya was asked to leave the room as usual during a discussion regarding the CEO, but soon after he learned that the board had decided to approve Assuta chairman Shuki Shemer’s proposal and fire Tzruya.

Assuta belongs to the Maccabi HMO, and the Assuta board of directors has a majority of the owners’ representatives, Maccabi. Members of the Board of Directors include Maccabi CEO Ran Saar and Maccabi Chairman Prof. Moshe Revach. Over the past six years, the CEOs have changed at a faster-than-usual pace, with four CEOs serving.

All this is happening when Assuta is about to open a new hospital in Ashdod, which is expected to be built on an area of ​​70 dunams, it will have 300 beds and will employ about 1,000 workers. The hospital is expected to open next year.

The CEO of Assuta and the Board of Directors of the company agreed in good faith on the termination of the term of office of the CEO of Assuta, CPA Pinchas Tzruya, in light of disagreements regarding the continuation of Assuta Medical Centers.
