After the loss to Bayern Munich in the Euroleague that significantly distanced it from the crossover dream, Maccabi Tel Aviv will return tomorrow (Saturday, 18:20) to the league and host Hapoel Eilat. Afterwards, Hapoel Beer Sheva will host Maccabi Haifa at 20:00.
Hapoel Eilat – Maccabi Tel Aviv (18:20)
Hapoel Eilat is back in the top four in the table with its second victory in the last three rounds, 84:89 away over Urbani Chai Motors Ness Ziona. The group from the south entered the fourth quarter with a lag of 8, but defeated it 15:28 without scoring a single three: 0 from 5 from the outside compared to 11 from 13 for two in the last ten minutes. Casey Prather scored 12 of his 28 points (equal to his season high) in the fourth quarter, Joe Ragland who in the previous four games averaged 8.0 points added 20.
Maccabi Tel Aviv increased its advantage at the top with its biggest victory of the season, 63: 107 over Urbani Nahariya. All three last quarters with a double-digit gap: 13:30 on Monday, 12:25 on Tuesday and 21:32 on Wednesday, Chris Jones led with 17 points and 7 assists. On Thursday, the team was defeated for the third time in a row in the Euroleague: 72: 70 in Munich by Bayern.

Seven of the last eight league games between the teams were decided in a home win, with the only time the host surrendered was in October 2018: 70:83 to Maccabi Tel Aviv Begin. Hapoel Beer Sheva – Maccabi Haifa (20:00)
Hapoel Beer Sheva was defeated in six of its last eight games and fell to a negative balance, when in the two rounds before the break it was defeated by a cumulative gap of 54 points: 94:66 at the Lottery Arena for Hapoel Jerusalem and 100: 74 at Menora Mivtachim Hall for Maccabi Tel Aviv. Very low from the outside: 9 out of 45 in the capital (20%) and 5 out of 31 in Tel Aviv (16%). The team from the Negev set a seasonal league record of 28 rebounds in the attack against the champion – the highest figure ever for a game without overtimes.

Maccabi Haifa has won only once in its last nine games and is ranked below the red line alongside Nahariya. She also met Hapoel Jerusalem and Maccabi Tel Aviv in its last two games in the league: a 95:74 home loss to the Reds and a 95:60 away loss to the Yellows. Against Jerusalem, the Greens set a season league record with 14 of 14 free throws, but against Maccabi Tel Aviv they Recorded a season-low of 41% from the line: 11 of 27. In those two rounds, the team scored just 4.0 3-pointers at 21.1%.
Hapoel Beer Sheva’s all-time record victory in the senior league was last round against Maccabi Haifa: an amazing 61: 102, with 15 of 30 over the arc and almost a triple double by Caleb Agada: 28 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists. The Reds throw the most threes in the league (32.1 on average per game), while the Greens score the least from the outside (only 6.5 threes per game).
