The composition of Tiger Woods (Reuters)
Tiger Woods, the 45-year-old decorated golfer, suffered a serious car accident yesterday (Tuesday) in which he injured his legs. Woods was taken to a California hospital for treatment and has already undergone surgery, when his family managed to update on his condition and other celebrities joined in the recovery wishes.
His family said in a statement from his official account: “We thank everyone for the support and messages at this difficult time. Tiger was involved in a car accident in California, he underwent long surgery on his lower right leg and ankle after arriving at the hospital. He is currently awake, responding and recovering in the operating room. “Thank you to the doctors and the hospital in Los Angeles, whose support was exceptional. We continue to thank you but ask for privacy for him and his family.”
Regarding his medical condition, they added: “Woods suffers from a number of major injuries to the lower part of his leg that have been treated with emergency surgery by orthopedic specialists at the medical center. All other injuries to the bones of the foot and ankle were stabilized by a combination of screws. “Muscle injuries to the leg required surgery to apply pressure because of the swelling.”
