Israel Bar offers free drinks with covid vaccines

The Israeli bar doubled as a COVID-19 vaccination clinic Thursday, with free drinks given to those who received the pictures.

More than 43 percent of Israel’s 9 million population has received at least one dose of the Pfizer Inc vaccine, the Ministry of Health says. But officials are worried that the turnout could go out and hold back Israel’s plans to start reopening the economy.

With many bars closed due to the pandemic, Jenia gastropub at Tel Aviv, in partnership with the city, opened its doors to an unusual type of supporter: new vaccines, drawn by on-house drinks offer.

The non-alcoholic beverages were strong, as a medical warning.
