Jose Mourinho and Gareth Bale (Reuters)
The relationship between Gareth Bale and Jose Mourinho continues to heat up, with the Welsh star barely getting minutes and the Tottenham coach continuing to claim that this is due to him not being fully fit to play. The extreme’s agent, Jonathan Barnett, was interviewed by the English media and tried to explain what the player who is expected to return to Real Madrid at the end of the season really thinks of the Portuguese.
“Bale still loves Madrid, he has no problems there with anyone and it is a wonderful club,” he began Barnett, “There will be no problem for him to come back, but they have to decide if it happens, Zidane should be asked if he wants him, but I think not. “The relationship between Bale and Mourinho is good, there are no problems between them, the media is the one that creates the problems.”
The agent added: “Of course we expected him to play more, but it does not happen and Mourinho should be asked why. Bale is nearing the end of his career, he has won the most trophies outside of England of any British player in history, and is still asked ‘what happened to him’. “Right now he is fine financially and has enough money for the rest of his life, so we’ll see what happens to him.”
