A week has passed since the events of the Haifa derby, and today (Wednesday) the Maccabi Haifa players’ association and its staff, as well as the club itself, will appear before the disciplinary court of the Football Association.
The association’s prosecutor, Adv. Nir Reshef, decided to prosecute the group (brawl and aggravated assault), CEO Assaf Ben Dov (participation in a brawl and disorderly conduct), San Menachem (unsportsmanlike conduct and disorderly conduct), and Eid Habashi (participation in a brawl in the circumstances Aggravated and disorderly conduct), Dolev Haziza (participation in a brawl in aggravated circumstances and disorderly conduct) and Bogdan Planich (participation in a brawl and disorderly conduct).
Yesterday, the Greens’ line of defense was published on the sports channel ahead of today’s discussion. Among other things, they will present videos from the events and try to prove the innocence of Haziza and Planich. There is optimism in the club: “There is only one truth”. The Greens, for their part, do not attach importance to the media echo created by the events. Maccabi Haifa fans may come to the court today to support the players.
