Marco Rosa will be the coach of Borussia Dortmund starting this summer, the current team of the 44-year-old German coach, Borussia Mönchengladbach, announced today (Monday), which he will leave after two years.
Rosa, who joined Gladbach in 2019 on a three-year contract (until the summer of 2022), has decided to activate a clause in his contract that allows him to be released for € 5 million, an amount that Dortmund will have to transfer.
Geldbach’s athletic director, Max Eberl, Said: “In recent weeks we have had many conversations with Marco about his future. Unfortunately, Marco has decided that he wants to activate the release clause in his contract, which is due to expire in June 2022, and leave for Borussia Dortmund in the summer. Therefore Marco will not be with us after the end of the season, if the conditions set in the contract are met on time. Until then, we will do everything we can together with Marco to achieve our goals this season in the league, the cup and in Europe. “
