Orgasms work just as well as painkillers in treating migraines, a study says

On the eve of Valentine’s Day, a Professor has suggested that anyone struggling with migraines may find that something just as effective in reducing their effects as painkillers – an old orgasm good to have.

The new research, presented by Professor Amanda Ellison, states that sex is no longer off the table if you have a migraine – which should certainly be encouraged.

This is all because it releases serotonin, the ‘happy stimulus’. So even a hug might help.

In the case studies presented in the evidence, reported by The Sun, it was found that those with chronic migraines suffered from less serotonin in their body than others. , and they also wanted sex 20 percent more than people with a headache just caused by tension.

However, after getting into bed with their partner, the study showed that the effects of the migraine disappeared immediately.

In her book Splitting, Professor Ellison from Durham University wrote: “Sex leads to an injection of serotonin.

“The case of two men suffering from episodic male headache, one who was 61, the other 47, was reported in Israel.

“At the point of orgasm with their partners, both men reported that the headache suddenly disappeared.”

So there you go – it may feel a little difficult to get into the feeling for sex if you have a pain in your head that is leading you to nausea, but if you see some way through that there should be a conflict between the sorting sheets that’s right out.

In her book, Ellison suggested other ways in which you could increase your serotonin just after sex – including the fact that you could eat chocolate or drink coffee, as caffeine can also give you a useful boost.

Why not worry if you wake up

She said another migraine cure is oxytocin hormone love, saying: “Choose a hugger for a partner. They don’t call it neurochemistry for nothing.”

Sadly, not everyone seems to be aware of oxytocin as the love hormone.

However, she went viral after her bio was misunderstood by several people who slipped into her DMs offering to repair with a different kind of ‘oxy’ – short for the oxycodone painkiller, which may be addictive.

One user wrote to her: “So you are looking for oxy,” to which she replied: “Lol is a hormone, oxytocin that is naturally produced. This is the love / cuddle chemistry of our brains. “

Another, who was desperate to help, wrote: “So I only have a morphine hook. Would that work?”

She replied: “Haha, well seeing how I was an opiate liar I have to give a hard pass. Although, I really appreciate the move.”

At the very least she can sleep safely with the knowledge that no matter what kind of positive response she gets from her profile, it will at least fix her migraine.
