Ubisoft Massive has confirmed that more content will be coming to Division 2 by Tom Clancy.
After a launch that did not live up to Ubisoft’s expectations and the news that Massive is now working on a Star Wars franchise game, there was widespread acceptance Section 2 development would come to an end. Massive even made Title Update 12 the last one, calling the season released with it the “End of Watch”.

However, in news made of games official Twitter feed it has been said that it is now at an “early development stage for new content later in 2021”. It is clear from the announcement that this will come in the form of a Title Update with another number, stating “Title Update 12 was originally intended to be the last major title update for Department 2“.
Massive has not given any indication as to what will be in the content, although I would not expect any major expansion as we did with it. Warlords of New York. I still hold out hope for a great game Survival upcoming game mode Department 2, but it looks like this could be just like the content we had over Year 2, with rotating events and targets filling the year.
Honestly, I fell off Department 2 hard around the time the Warlords of New York launched. It suffered a bad time, with an expansion showing New York infested with pests with bodies piling on the streets releasing at the same time as it happened for a real thank you to COVID- 19. I’m sure I’m not alone in saying I couldn’t stomach her at the time, and then I was drowned under a wave of updates that have been released ever since.
While Department 2 now in its final years, I think Massive would benefit from a focus on bringing players who moved back into the fold with these few final content updates.
According to Massive, we will not have to wait long to hear about what 2021 is all about Department 2, as he says he will share more information “as soon as he can”.
