Pep Guardiola has been named Premier League Manager of the Month after leading City to a perfect January.

We won all six of our Premier League games, scoring 16 and conceding just one, a series of form that saw us move from eighth to first in the table.
Our Premier League form was part of the successful climb that won nine games in all competitions, mostly with a team in the top four levels of English football in one month since the Football League went on. founded in 1888.
We scored 24 goals and conceded just two in the process, winning two FA Cup games and a Carabao Cup semi-final at Old Trafford in addition to our six league winners.
Guardiola believes that the context in which the results were achieved, against a background of COVID-19 limitations, makes the performance even more remarkable.
“The achievements of this team in January – winning all our games, despite the constraints ahead – are remarkable,” he said.
“It just shows how focused my players and staff are.
“They are amazing, and I’m so proud to be working with them.
“Everyone involved deserves a lot of credit.”
City are currently on a run that has won 15 games in all competitions and are unbeaten in 22 games, with our last case coming on November 21, 2020 at Tottenham.
