The International Cricket Council (ICC) today announced that the upcoming three series of the ICC Men’s Cricket League 2 World Cup which is due to take place between March and May, have been postponed. because of COVID-19.
The Men’s Cricket World Cup 2 which is part of the qualifying journey to the 2023 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup in India, was expected to see 18 International One Day Internationals (ODIs) all over the world. sixth, seventh and eighth series of the tournament.
As part of ICC’s comprehensive contingency planning process across all ICC events and following consultation with Members and relevant government and public health authorities, it was decided to defer all three strands.

We have fully assessed the situation with both guests and all participating Members, taking into account current travel restrictions, quarantine time before games and on government advice. and the public health authority regarding COVID-19, the best course of action was to defer these series.
“We are actively working with Members to identify suitable windows to rearrange the three rows. We are likely to face more challenges in the coming months but will continue to strive to maximize the opportunity for Members to qualify for the pitch. ”
The next series recorded in the tournament is in July 2021 where Scotland is to host Nepal and Namibia for six ODIs.
