U.S. President Joe Biden plans to speak to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu soon, the White House said Thursday without giving a date.
“The president is looking forward to talking to Prime Minister Netanyahu. It is clear that there is someone with whom he has a long-term relationship,” White House press secretary Jen Psaki said at press conference.
After being at a lockout with Trump for four years, Netanyahu seems to be challenged by any Biden departure from Trump’s strict policy on Iran and against the Palestinians.
Biden has promised to put the U.S. in the 2015 Iran nuclear deal – which Trump had pulled out of.

Trump delighted Netanyahu by scrapping the 2015 nuclear deal with Iran and reintroducing sanctions lifted as a result of limits on actions that could potentially result in nuclear weapons in Iran. future.
“The United States certainly has an important security relationship with Israel and as a key partner in the region,” Psaki said.
“He’ll talk to you soon – I don’t have a specific date or time for you on that call yet.”
In the speech, Netanyahu strongly criticized the one that was negotiated internationally under the leadership of the Obama administration.
Biden was Obama’s vice president for eight years and the two are very close.
However, Yadlin said, it was to be noted that the Democrats’ hostility to Netanyahu is not the only reason for the current lack of communication.
“When Biden entered the White House, he had major problems, especially at home,” Yadlin said, referring to the health and economic crises triggered by coronavirus pandemic and cases of social and racial injustice.
