At the same time, data from the Information and Digital Health Division at Maccabi show that teenagers who were not vaccinated against corona were 6 times more likely than their peers to be vaccinated in the first dose and a week or more after receiving it.
The data also show that only 0.2% of adolescents who have passed a week or more since being vaccinated with the first vaccine dose have contracted corona – compared to 1.3% of active Corona patients during the test period among adolescents who have not been vaccinated at all and have not previously contracted the virus. A study of about 15,200 teens aged 16-18 who had been a week or more since receiving their first vaccine against Corona found that only 31 had contracted the virus.
At the same time, a test was conducted among a control group of about 52,000 adolescents aged 16-18 from a diverse profile, who had not yet been vaccinated against corona and had not been infected with the virus in the past. Among this group, 689 patients were found during the test period – 6 times more than among the vaccinated youth.
