AEW Dynamite: Kenny Omega, Kenta against Jon Moxley and Lance Archer

February 11 (UPI) – Kenny Omega, AEW World Champion, teamed up with Kenta from New Japan Pro-Wrestling to take on Jon Moxley and Lance Archer in a major Dynamite event.

Wednesday’s tag team game was competed under a waterfall count anywhere and there were no disqualification rules, meaning weapons were allowed and a fall could take place anywhere in the field.

Moxley has issues with Omega after Omega beat him for the AEW World Championship by cheating back in December. Kenta, meanwhile, reserves the right to challenge Moxley for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship in the United States, a title from the New Japan Pro-Wrestling.

The main physical incident was immediately followed by Kenta attacking Moxley with the preparation shop that will ensure his future title game. Kenta did not use the newspaper to any effect on Archer, but the draw prompted Omega to take down the high grappler.

Omega and Kenta worked well as a team except for one key moment when the two argued about who was going to attack Moxley.

Omega later used rubbish dump to land on Moxley while making Moonsault. The battle reached the backstage kitchen where Kenta Moxley boarded a stainless steel table while performing DDT. An archer used a bag of potatoes as a weapon with Moxley also using potatoes to attack Omega.

Omega, back inside the ring, received support from his friends, Karl Anderson Tag Wrestling Team Tournaments and Doc Gallows from The Good Brothers. The group focused on Archer and his manager, the legendary Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts, until Moxley broke things up with a string wire ball bat.

Kenta stopped Moxley with the GTS. Omega, with the help of The Good Brothers, was able to beat Archer with the One-Winged Angel and win the violent game.

Also on Dynamite, matters between members of Inner Circle MJF and Sammy Guevara reached a breaking point while they met in private.

Guevara accused MJF of trying to take over the group from their leader Chris Jericho. MJF responded by saying that Guevara was the one who wanted to lead the group and began recording the conversation to frame it.

Guevara criticized MJF in the stomach before leaving. MJF then began to tape around his ribs as he told Jericho and other members of the inner circle his version of what had happened.

MJF and Jericho, who are No. 1 contenders for the AEW World Tag Team Championships, were also in action against Max Caster and Anthony Bowens of The Acclaimed. Jericho won the game with the help of Jake Hager by putting the Judas Effect on Caster.

Guevara came to the ring afterwards where the entire Inner Circle was celebrated with MJF and Jericho. Guevara then announced to Jericho that he is retiring the group.

“Chris, I told you. I told you December 9, 2020 here on Dynamite. If one other thing happened with MJF, that was done. So I’m out here to tell you that I to do, “Guevara said.

TNT Champion Darby Allin defended his title against Joey Janela in the opening game of Dynamite. Allin won the competitive game after taking down the Coffin Drop from the high rope.

Councilor Allin Sting also came out to discuss how he and Allin will face Brian Cage and Ricky Starks of Team Taz in a street fight at the pay-per-view event of the AEW Revolution on March 7th.

Team Taz stopped Sting who had hit Allin and put him in a body bag. The body bag was attached to a car that had gone off to drag Allin across the street.
