Immediately after thatAaron Moshe Zeno (20) was charged with involvement inGang rape of his ex-partner, A 17-year-old girl, began receiving complaints from police about other young women claiming that they too had fallen victim to sexual assaults on his part. “We all know how the police act in these matters, I thought it would not help anything,” one of the five young women who mustered the courage told the Ynet studio this morning (Tuesday) and turned to the police with a complaint that Zeno also attacked them.

This complainant was also 17. “I searched through Facebook for a ride to the party, and he wrote to me that they had a ride from Jerusalem,” the young woman testified this morning. “At that time I lived in Holon, and I told him I would come to him and from there I would take the ride. I knew him from a previous party and we also had mutual friends, so I thought it was a spin. I went there with a friend and we got to the apartment.”

About the difficult events in the apartment that happened about three years ago, the young woman said: “At first everything was a turnaround. We were offered drugs, we did not take. I asked what was happening because the party was about to start, and everyone in the apartment said ‘everything is fine, there is time, what are you under pressure In addition to Zeno, there were five other boys in the apartment. One of them wanted to go get some alcohol, and then I said, ‘Wait, no car?’, And they went straight to the point. Time went on and I realized that probably something was wrong here.

“Zeno told me ‘what do you have? Why are you stressed?’. I told him I wanted to go to the party. He said ‘come second’, took me to the room, closed the door, approached me and tried to kiss me. I went back, turned my head and he “He said to me, ‘Come on, come on, what are you under pressure? Everything’s fine, come on.’ I told him I did not want to open the door, and then he clung to me even more and took off my pants.”

The complainant further said: “I went towards the door and he reached for me and leaned on it. I told him ‘Moshe, open it’. So he told me ‘the door is locked, trust me’. Then he clung more and started touching me and I kept concentrating on trying to get out the door. Noisy, no one would hear anything. He told me ‘you have never been with a man before me? Why are you stressed? Calm down’.

“At that moment I was just trying to concentrate on the door, that I wanted to get out of there. I tried to open it, and he pushed me back and tried to put me on the bed. That way it lasted a few minutes. There was some violent quarrel outside, and then he opened the door to see what was going on. From there I went to my girlfriend to see what’s up with her. She yelled at someone ‘Where’s our money?’, They stole all the money from the bag. We realized we would not come to the party and I said to my girlfriend ‘Leave the money, let’s get out of here’.

According to the description of one of the other complainants against defendant Zeno, the nightmare did not end here. “One of the boys came out after us and said to me ‘Will you give without money? Let’s see how I can help, maybe there is money upstairs.’ It was in his parents’ apartment, he brought me upstairs to the room and he also tried to kiss me. “He grabbed my hand and tried to convince me. His mother was sleeping in the next room so I told him I would make a noise if he did not leave me. He let go and I walked straight away.”

– And now you decide to complain. Why now?

“Because we all know how the police act in these matters. I thought it would not help anything, but when the issue came up then I also want to help the complainant, to strengthen the case against him. If something has been opened, then at least it will end as it should have long ago.”

– According to the complainants’ descriptions, these are serial acts on the part of the defendant.

“Yes, I know at least four women that it happened to them with the same bunch of people, some of whom were not caught. It’s a bunch that cooperates and does it together.”

– Has he talked to you since? Contacted?

“No. I saw his face a few times at parties afterwards, but we had no contact at all. I’m sure more women were injured. I hope the police do everything they have to do.”

The Ynet studio received testimonies from other young women who claim that Zeno sexually assaulted them, but at this point they did not contact the police. One of them said that “I met him at a nature party. After the party he sent me a message on Facebook and was very nice. We became friends and I never thought he would do anything to me. Then he attacked me.”

Another young woman said: “I was 16, I was looking for a ride to a party. He wrote me that he had a place in his car and picked me up. We arrived at his friend’s house in Jerusalem, they took drugs there and then poured us a glass full of vodka. After I was drunk they poured me more “Then Zeno started touching me, he told me ‘come to the room for a second’ and then attacked me. After it was over I ran away from the house.”

The five defendants involved in the rape of a 17-year-old in Ashkelon

Earlier this month, an indictment was filed in the Be’er Sheva District Court in the case of the rape of a 17-year-old girl in an apartment in Ashkelon. Apart from her ex-partner Zeno, the indictment also includes Yitzhak Memo (24), Aviv Ohayon (23), Lior Simhon (29) and Daniel Danilov (20). The offenses attributed to them, each according to his part: acts of sodomy in aggravated circumstances and rape, assault and supply of a dangerous drug.

Zeno met the girl through his sister who was her friend. About six months ago, he arranged to pick her up from the central station in Ashkelon. Together they drove to an apartment in the city – where the other defendants were waiting for them. According to the indictment, the girl, the five defendants and another person not involved in the sexual assault, sat in the living room of the apartment and smoked cannabis.

At one point, while the girl was in one of the rooms in the apartment, the defendants entered the room and committed sexual offenses together. According to the indictment, Comrade Zeno encouraged the others while humiliating calls towards the girl and while documenting the acts. The girl then left the apartment vaguely.

Advocate Noam Bonder, who represents Zeno on behalf of the Public Defender’s Office, responded: “He cooperated with the investigators and gave a version of the chain of events. Only a few days ago we were appointed to represent him and we are studying the investigation materials. Once we are done we will be able to address the charges.”
