WWE bought a motorcycle for Mike Tyson to ‘appeal’ a premature boxing legend up to WrestleMania in 1998, it is said.
Starting after two cases against his boxing rival Evander Holyfield, Tyson appeared for WWE as a special outside rapper in the main WrestleMania 14 event between Steve Austin and Shawn Michaels.

Tyson ended up costing Michaels for the world title
Mike Iron played a big part in the game as he overtook Michaels, who he later knocked out, with three quick counts to allow Austin to win the world title.
Jim Ross, a former reporter inside the company, says WWE pulled every stop to make Tyson happy, which included making his son head of his concierge.
Ross told Podcast Grilling JR: “Shane McMahon had a lot to do with that, he became Tyson’s concierge, whatever Mike needed. [Shane got him].
“I think during his time, Tyson wanted a motorcycle, I have no idea, and Shane bought him a motorcycle.
“They tried to appeal, it’s like hiring a college footballer or playing basketball.

Tyson played a major role in the outcome of the WrestleMania 14 main event
“The WWE tried to get Mike’s attention at every turn of the road and Mike needed money at that time.
“The McMahon family noticed it and it worked out. It was a really good investment because it paid off at the end of the day. ”
Ross said: “It was definitely a great time. He made a lot of headlines and reminded Austin that it had to be, challenging material, very unincorporated.
“It was a big night for us. I made sure [on commentary] When I said Austin and Tyson, I didn’t say Tyson and Austin, because I wanted to give our Stone Stone the main bill. ”
