The Association for Patient Safety (NeuroInterventional Surgery (SNIS)), in partnership with the NeuroPoint Alliance (NPA), is pleased to announce that the registration at the NVQI-QOD now has more than 10,000 procedures. established in 2015, NVQI-QOD has been helping providers collect and analyze perioperative and follow-up data in an effort to improve patient care.
With more than 30 medical centers across North America currently participating in NVQI-QOD, the program continues to gain momentum. Participation in the NVQI-QOD enables physicians and hospitals to assess the frequency of complications, length of stay and other diagnostic measures against national criteria for quality assurance and clarify areas for quality improvement.
This is a very exciting time for NVQI-QOD. Reaching this milestone enables us to deliver added value in terms of quality improvement criteria and opportunities to our partners, while providing relevant data for research / clinical trials and monitoring of new procedures and tools. “

NVQI-QOD is an external, web-based platform, supported on the M2S® PATHWAYS® platform. The NVQI-QOD is regulated by the NHS PSO, which is led by a Governing Council comprising representatives from both the NPA and the NHS. NVQI-QOD is designed to integrate easily into multiple workflows, allowing multiple users to access and submit data in a single form and assigning data entry duties to more than one person.
Developed by physicians for physicians, NVQI-QOD captures 100% of procedures, including important demographic, methodological, and post-op data, to provide comprehensive outcome analysis and information performance improvement. An important advantage of an NVQI-QOD database is the inclusion of long-term results of one year, or longer.
