President of the United States Joe Biden He said in an interview aired during the night (Friday-Saturday) on the American CBS network that he believes his predecessor in office, Donald Trump, Should not have access to intelligence briefings. “I think he should not accept these briefings, because of his unstable behavior, and the fear that he might share information,” the president explained. When asked what worries him about the former president’s exposure to the information, Biden replied: “I prefer not to speculate out loud, just think there is no need for him to receive such briefings.”

Later in the interview, Biden wondered – “What value should Trump be given in intelligence briefings? What impact does he have at all, other than the possibility that he will emit sensitive statements?”. As mentioned, former presidents traditionally receive routine intelligence briefings, even after the end of their official term. The White House has previously addressed the issue, saying the issue is under investigation.
As you may recall, throughout his tenure, Trump has repeatedly attacked the entire intelligence community, and it is not known whether he actually attended long briefings during his time at the White House. He also cast significant doubt on U.S. intelligence reports showing Russian involvement in the 2016 presidential election.
